NJ Spartans 2015 Opponents Officially Set
After the conclusion of the 2014 post-season run, we now know the Spartans are eager to shift focus on returning to competing for championship after taking a tough loss in the Conference Championship a season ago.
The 8th year in team history will begin this Spring as the Spartans head into a 8-game schedule against teams from the NEAFL’s National Conference. In addition, we know by way of the NEAFL’s projected schedule which teams from the Patriot and Liberty Divisions that New Jersey Spartans will face home and away.
Below, you’ll find a list of the home and away opponents for 2015 along with some thoughts on the NJ Spartans slate of home and away games.
The aforementioned games will likely be announced in late February. But until we know the full details, here are a few schedule thoughts based on what we can see on paper.
Best home game:
South Jersey Thunder. A match-up of 2 young and talented teams in the League. Need we say more?
Best road game:
Delco Cowboys. The last time some of these players seen the Spartans they were on the other side of the Upset Win in which the Spartans prevailed on a Last minute Interception that went back for a TD.
Don’t sleep on this game:
Could go many directions here, but we’ll go with the New Jersey Pitbulls matchup at home. This one figures to be a major challenge against a playoff-caliber club that have had the Spartans number by winning the most recent 2 match-ups by a total 9 points.
Game of the year:
Levittown Rebels on the road. There’s something about Spartans against the Rebels. Spartans’ dominated them in the regular season and in the playoffs. Don’t think the Rebels have lost sight of that.
