Wolves Shut Out Spartans To Open Playoffs

PLAINFIELD – The New Jersey Wolves continued their playoff run by defeating the New Jersey Spartans 7-0, under the lights of Seidler Field.

Mark Johnson plunged in the only score of the game in the second quarter as both defenses dominated the line of scrimmage in the hard-hitting contest.

The Wolves defense held the Spartans to -14 total yards from scrimmage but the offense could only muster

94 yards of their own.

The Spartans limited Johnson to 32 yards passing as he was under intense pressure all night. Darryl Luck led the Wolves offense with 58 yards rushing.

The Wolves will find out tomorrow their next opponent on the road to Scranton (the site of the championship game) tomorrow.
