The North Jersey CFC Spartans traveled to Willimantic, CT to face the Warriors of Eastern Connecticut State University, in a “Down to the Last Second” match-up.  ECSU scored early in the first quarter with a Touchdown, only 5 minutes into the game.  The Extra Point attempt was blocked, making the score 6-0.  North Jersey came back in the 2nd Quarter with a Touchdown by WR Jahleel McMillian, with a successful extra point attempt by Leonardo Martirano.  Shortly after, North Jersey’s QB Edgar Ruiz, scored another touchdown, followed by a successful kick by Martirano, making the score North Jersey 14, ECSU 6, at the Half.

The game resumed with a very defensive battle, allowing neither team to score in the 3rd Quarter.  With just under 2 minutes left in the 4th Quarter, ECSU recovered a Fumble and ran the ball into the End Zone, giving ECSU another score and a fighting chance to win the game.  The 2-Point Conversion was blocked, making the score North Jersey 14, ECSU 12, with just over 1 minute to go.  The Warriors came out with an On-Side Kick that failed, giving the Spartans the ball, who secured their 2nd consecutive victory for the Season.
